How can I be sure
that MAAS products are best?
Throughout the MAAS website are numerous independent
lab test results for MAAS products, endorsements
from companies such as Good Housekeeping Institute,
Boeing and McDonnell Aircraft testing facility,
Motorcycle Consumer News an independent testing
facility, The
Porsche Club of America awarding “First Place
Overall” to a Porsche restored with MAAS products,
Jewelry Consumer Products Test Facilities, also
magazine and newspaper endorsements, along with
consumer letters.
MAAS stands out as a company with documentation; its
products are superior on a wide variety of surfaces.
We have made considerable effort to ensure MAAS
formulas meet government and industry standards.
MAAS easy “wipe-on wipe-off” multi-purpose polishes
and cleaners clean, polish, protect, and restore;
apply a deep rich luster imparting a more vibrant
appearance to surfaces.
What are the
surfaces that MAAS Metal Polish restores and
polishes?
ALL Metals, Fiberglass, Plexiglas, Eisenglass,
mirrors, clouded glass & crystal, leaded glass,
ceramics & ceramic tile, porcelain, enamel, Corian,
Avonite, granite, marble, laminates & Formica,
linoleum, plastic convertible windows, plastics,
Plexiglas, Lexan, acrylic, powder coating, auto &
aircraft paint (to remove stains and buff out
surface scratches), solid vinyl, polyurethane; all
non-porous surfaces.
Why is the
tarnish not coming off brass, copper?
If MAAS does not instantly remove tarnish this
indicates the metal is lacquered. The lacquer must
be removed before cleaning and polishing. It is best
to show the metal item to your local hardware store
manager and ask his opinion for the best product and
method to remove old lacquer. Once lacquer is
removed MAAS will quickly remove tarnish and
oxidation. To protect against harsh weather and the
elements apply MAAS Metal Protector. The protector
can be used on all non-porous surfaces and is
recommended for indoor and outdoor use. The deep
luster is unsurpassed.
How can I
tell if a metal is plated and how do I clean them?
Always read manufacturers recommendations regarding
plated metals.
Solid silver and gold are stamped indicating it is a
solid metal. For brass and copper place a magnet on
the metal if it holds to the metal it is plated.
Manufacturers of plated metals do not recommend
using polishes; often the “plating” is painted on
and is paper-thin; these surfaces cannot withstand
any cleaning solutions. MAAS recommends our
polishing cloth or polishing gloves to gently remove
tarnish and oxidation from these delicate surfaces.
Quality plated silver can be polished with MAAS
Metal Polish. If you are unsure of the quality of
your silver we recommend testing on an inconspicuous
area. After polishing some of our customers have
stated they apply MAAS Metal Protector, which
completely eliminated re-polishing. They
periodically wipe their silver with MAAS Polishing
Gloves or MAAS Polishing Cloth, which gently removes
any discoloration while reapplying the MAAS
protection; the polishing gloves and cloth come in
handy for last minute touch-ups.
Plated metals must be gently wiped with a very soft
cloth; use very little pressure; hard rubbing will
remove plating even without using cleaning products.
MAAS is safe for chrome plating. Use a very soft
cloth to remove discoloration. After cleaning, apply
MAAS Metal Protector. The super-strong protection
applies a deep luster that no product can duplicate.

What do you
recommend for brushed stainless steel & chrome?
Brushed stainless steel and chrome are easily
marred by harsh chemicals and hard rubbing. Most
stainless steel spray cleaners contain water,
chemicals, and oil; which leave an oily residue that
attracts fingerprints and dust. MAAS Stainless Steel
and Chrome Spray Cleaner is a one step
cleaner-polish that instantly removes grease and
residue; leaves a highly polished surface, maintains
factory finishes, protects against dust adhesion and
fingerprints.
To restore stained and badly discolored smooth
stainless steel surfaces and chrome carefully apply
MAAS Polishing Creme with a clean, soft cloth. Do
not rub hard, allow MAAS polish to lift the stains.
For brushed stainless steel, gently wipe in the
direction of the brush marks using MAAS Liquid Metal
Polish. Wipe with a damp clean cloth and dry to
ensure all residues are removed.
Can your product
be used for polishing aluminum, magnesium, chrome, alloy
wheels?
MAAS Metal Polishing Creme safely restores tarnished
and damaged metals: chrome, aluminum, magnesium, and
alloy wheels. MAAS Metal Protector is recommended
for chrome that is in good condition that requires shine
and protection.
Ron Pollichs Drag Racing Team uses MAAS Metal Polish
and Metal Protector on their aluminum wheels; these
products apply anti-static protection to wheels
repelling brake dust and dirt. Ron Pollich mentioned
that during racing fire hazards occur as brake dust
builds up and this is no longer a problem since he has
been using MAAS Polishes.
MAAS is safe for chrome plating. Use a very soft

the chrome as well as the aluminum trim that had also
been significantly oxidized over the years.
What do you
recommend for lacquered surfaces?
MAAS Metal
Protector protects lacquered surfaces from cracking
and breaking down; maintains the original luster.
MAAS recommends applying the protector to new
lacquered metals. If lacquered metals become
tarnished read the following suggestions:
MAAS Metal Protector has no impact on lacquered
surfaces because the protector never reaches the
metal surface. I recommend customers contacting the
manufacturers for care, removal of lacquer coating,
warranty or replacement.
